President of ABES will be part of a panel on innovation

The Brazilian edition of the World Congress on Information Technology – WCIT Brasil 2016, to be held in Brasília, from October 3rd to 5th, will feature the participation of Francisco Camargo, president of ABES, who will be part of the panel “Unveiling the Secrets for Innovation ”, scheduled for 10/05, at 9:45 am.

According to the organization of the event, the panel will discuss the necessary factors for the creation and maintenance of the innovation process.

Some questions will drive this debate: “There is a huge interest in replicating the success of Silicon Valley and other meccas of innovation. Why is it so difficult to create and sustain an innovation ecosystem? Are there secrets we don't know?"

“I will take this opportunity to highlight the numbers of the Brazilian IT market, that is, those start ups that worked, as well as the trends, perspectives and challenges for the creation of a more favorable environment for innovation”, advanced Camargo.

The Brazilian Software Market – Panorama and Trends 2016 ABES – IDC study pointed out that investments in Information Technology in Brazil (including hardware, software and services) had an increase of 9.2%, compared to 2014, while the global average of growth in IT investments was 5.6%.

ABES is a partner of the Federation of Associations of Brazilian Information Technology Companies (Assespro) for the promotion and realization of WCIT Brasil 2016, a global event that will be held for the first time in South America, with the expectation of bringing together 3 thousand participants from 80 countries.
