Ford showed at the Geneva Motor Show, Switzerland, a technology that directly connects vehicle occupants with local operators of emergency services after an accident. The novelty integrates SYNC, the automaker's digital connectivity interface, which allows users to control cell phones and MP3 players through wireless connections and voice commands.

The company also announced the expansion of SYNC into its products. Present in 30% of Ford vehicles sold in Europe last year, it will now be in 60% of the line in 2013. In the region, the technology is already in the New EcoSport, New Fiesta and Kuga and later this year it will be included in the new Transit , Transit Connect and Tourneo Connect.

Another novelty is that the Novo EcoSport, a project led by Brazil, will be among the first Ford vehicles in Europe to offer AppLink SYNC, an evolution of SYNC that allows you to control cell phone applications by voice command. Ford is also the first car brand to partner with Spotify, the world's leading in-flight streaming music service.
