The companies Fisiogames and Knewin, both located in Florianópolis-SC, are completing their graduations in the MIDI Tecnológico incubator, managed by the Santa Catarina Association of Technology Companies (ACATE) and maintained by Sebrae/SC.

The incubation process seeks to help improve the infrastructure of startups and small technology-based companies, in addition to offering consultancy, creating a bridge between beginners and entrepreneurs already established in the market. Adding Fisiogames and Knewin, MIDI Tecnológico will total 73 graduated companies since its foundation in 1998.

Fisiogames applies digital entertainment and interactive media to human well-being, combining entertainment, education and health. Recently contemplated by Tecnova (a program that creates favorable financial conditions for growth and innovation), the company develops products and services to promote health and quality of life. For the company's founding partner, Daniel San Martin, going through the incubation process was essential for professionalizing management and validating the business. “The support of the consultants and the networking that the environment offers are fundamental. The incubator presents us with a series of opportunities and it is up to us to take advantage of this differential.”

Knewin, on the other hand, works with a technological base that makes news content published on the Internet accessible, mainly for companies that develop clipping and competitive intelligence solutions. After the incubation, founding partner Lucas Nazário believes that the transition to the market will be smooth. “Now we are already well inserted in the labor market, we are going to change rooms and continue the operation naturally”.

The MIDI Tecnológico incubator was elected, in 2008 and 2012, the best technology-based incubator in Brazil by the National Award for Innovative Entrepreneurship, by Anprotec. It currently has 17 incubated companies, six of which are resident and 11 are virtual.
