Finep and FAPESP launched a call for proposals worth R$ 30 million to support the development, by small companies in São Paulo, of innovative products, processes and services in all areas of knowledge.

The call for the PAPPE/PIPE Subsidy Program – PHASE III – 6th round aims to develop areas considered strategic in federal public policies and stimulate the expansion and densification of research activities for innovation in the São Paulo business universe.

Budget resources from FAPESP and economic subsidy (non-refundable resources) from Finep will be used. The two institutions will finance each of the approved projects in equal parts and jointly make R$ 30 million available for research with great potential for innovation.

At least 40% of the allocated resources will be made available to companies with revenues up to R$ 4.8 million (redistribution of resources will be made in case there is no qualified demand for this size of company).

Micro-enterprises, small companies and small Brazilian companies, headquartered in the State of São Paulo, incorporated and active at least twelve months before the launch of the public notice are eligible as bidders.

The call offers resources to companies that have already conducted research that resulted in innovative products, processes and services within the scope of projects funded by the FAPESP Innovative Research in Small Businesses Program (PIPE), Phase 1 or Phase 2, or equivalent projects conducted with from other sources.

The public notice, in Phase 3, will include projects that intend to develop the results of previous research, so that they can be effectively placed in the market.

The deadline for submitting proposals ends on October 29.
