The Security Department (Deseg) of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (Fiesp) launched the Booklet of Best Practices in Cybersecurity, with guidance to companies to prevent fraud and cyber attacks. The publication was distributed to participants in the National Cybersecurity Congress, organized at the entity's headquarters in late March.

The booklet provides guidance on how to protect data, documents and finances handled virtually, including the implementation of regulations and terms of use of the systems, classification and user profiles, use of corporate e-mails, use of social media, care when making electronic instruments available - such as notebook, tablets and phones - and internet usage.

Cited in the notebook, data from Kaspersky Lab, a company specializing in cyber protection products, report that in Brazil, during the World Cup and in the second half of 2014, 87,500 attempts were made to infect viruses with the objective of financial fraud and more than 365 thousand focused on mobile devices.

According to the director of Deseg, Rony Vainzof, cyber threats today represent one of the biggest problems faced by companies that use the internet to communicate with the chain of business interests and keep the information exposed. "In addition to the speed of work, it is important to assess risks, change habits on the network and invest in tools that guarantee more protection to information", he explains. click here to download the booklet.
