Entrepreneurs across the country will have 4/12 to apply

The FIEMG Lab, a FIEMG System program aimed at the development of startups, has arrived to turn dreams into reality. Registration for the first phase is open until December 4th and can be done free of charge through the website (www.fundacity.com/fiemglab). The program was developed by the Federation in partnership with the entities Fapemig, Sebrae, CNI and Sedectes.

In addition to startups, the initiative is also aimed at corporate spin-offs and/or applied technology-based projects of university origin. A pioneering project among the Federations of Industries in Brazil, the FIEMG Lab works with the proposal to transform technology into business and promotes an approximation of industrial chains with this model of companies. This union can generate benefits such as disruptive innovation, competitive advantages, investment attraction, market acquisition and new technologies.

In the first phase of the program, 100 projects will be selected. During 18 months, participating companies will undergo four stages of acceleration and new selection processes. During this period, diagnoses, meetings, checkpoints and mentoring, training and measurement of results will be carried out. In the final phase, the accelerated expansion of the five most impacting projects will be promoted, which will be internationalized and will have an increase in the customer base.

The president of FIEMG, Olavo Machado Junior, describes the program as modernizing. “The project recognizes the innovative potential of startups and offers opportunities for these companies to be able to develop high-impact technologies for mining industries,” said FIEMG president Olavo Machado Junior.
