Each selected project can receive up to R$ 1.2 million
 
 The State of São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and the Center for Industries of the State of São Paulo (Ciesp), will hold on March 19, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, in the Foundation's auditorium, the meeting Dialogue on Support for Research for Innovation in Small Business.
 
The meeting is open to those interested in participating in the second cycle of proposal analysis for 2014 in the Fapes Innovative Research in Small Business Program (PIPE). The deadline for submitting projects is April 28th. Selected projects will receive up to R$ 15 million disbursed by the foundation.
 
Since 1997, FAPESP has disbursed more than R$ 270 million to support 1,170 research grants for the development of innovative projects in small companies in the State of São Paulo, within the scope of PIPE. The Program supports the development of innovative products, processes and services in all areas of knowledge.
 
The maximum amount of support for each selected project is R$ 1.2 million, in two phases. In phase 1, lasting up to 9 months, up to R$ 200,000 are earmarked for demonstrating the proposed technological viability. In phase 2, for the development of the innovative product or process, with a term of up to 24 months, the limit of funds available per project is R$ 1 million.
 
In this second cycle of analysis of proposals in 2014, projects can be submitted for phase 1 or directly for phase 2 of the Program.
