Fapesp announces new calls for PAPI

Fapesp announced calls for proposals for the Intellectual Property Support Program (PAPI), in the Training and Institutional modalities.
 
Training
 
The Training modality supports the improvement of the technical-scientific knowledge of the Technological Innovation Centers (NITs) of higher education and research institutions in the State of São Paulo.
 
Support is provided through the financing of studies and exchanges in foreign institutions of notorious recognition in technology transfer activities (phase 1). After the successful completion of phase 1, research projects in the areas of management, valuation and technology transfer (phase 2) may be submitted. 
 
The host institution must commit to the paid leave of the team members who will make the visits or internships at an institution abroad. The deadline for submission of proposals at Fapesp is August 25, 2014. The call is available at: www.fapesp.br/8756
 
 
Institutional
 
In the Institutional modality, higher education and research institutions in the State of São Paulo are supported by supporting the registration and licensing of intellectual property created from the results of research financed by Fapesp.
 
The total budget submitted to FAPESP may be up to 50% of the amount spent in the previous two years with NIT's own resources for the management of intellectual property resulting from research projects financed by Fapesp.
 
The counterpart estimate may include disbursements for the payment of fees, fees for the provision of specialized services for the writing of the patent application descriptive report or for the licensing of technologies and hours of the NIT team dedicated to the management and licensing of intellectual property. resulting from research financed by Fapesp.
