The Espírito Santo Research and Innovation Support Foundation (FAPES) launched in late November, the EDITAL FAPES - Projects Demanding Enabling Technologies. The objective is to promote the development and adequacy of the Integrated Management Systems (Enterprise Resource Planning - ERP) of Espírito Santo companies, focused on the industrial segment that focus on the use of enabling technologies such as blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence ( IA), big data, etc.

Each selected proposal can be awarded up to R$100 thousand to develop solutions related to automation and industry 4.0. In return, the tenderer must make an investment of 10%.

According to the information in the announcement, representatives of companies interested in participating in the selection process must submit their proposals to the Fapes Management System (SigFapes) by January 17, 2020.

Training and contracting

The public call will select up to 20 companies that will undergo a seven-month training process (from April to October 2020), at the Digital Transformation Center (Cidig), in Cariacica (ES). Then, FAPES will make the financial contribution, according to the economic subsidy model, for the companies with the best performance according to the evaluation criteria contained in the notice.

Companies with subsidized projects will be hired from the beginning of December 2020 and the contract will have a 12-month non-extendable duration.

Selection criteria

The merit analysis of the projects for the training activity, will consider criteria such as: degree of innovation and technological risk (weight 4); current ERP maturity stage (weight 3); importance of the project for the segment (weight 3); institutional partnerships and with companies in the strategic area of the project (weight 3); among others.
