Faperj announces 50 selected proposals from Start-Up Rio

Faperj announced the 50 projects approved in the Public Notice to Support the Diffusion of the Innovation Environment in Digital Technology (Start-Up Rio 2013).
 

Aimed at stimulating and promoting initiatives that fit the theme of diffusion of innovation environment in digital technology, the program, which is making available R$ 5 million, aims to expand the culture of technological innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship in the state, encouraging projects of the startups, with a view to transforming Rio de Janeiro into an export showcase for these future companies.
 
Proposals from independent inventors could be submitted to transform, with the support of a team, into Rio de Janeiro startups in the areas of Internet Services, Sustainable Technologies and Digital Media. Each selected proposal will receive R$ 100 thousand, in two installments, to be transferred in the period of 12 months. The announcement calls for the creation of the Innovation Pole in Digital Technology, which will bring together in one physical space of co-working the startups contemplated in the announcement, whose works have already started and should be completed by the end of March.
 
Startups will receive support and support for the development of their ideas. The best will be selected and prepared to participate in the International Demo Day in Rio de Janeiro, an event in which they can present their projects to an audience of international investors, industry analysts and the local media.
