The focus of the Open Innovation Business Contest will be virtual reality

Everis, a consultancy that offers strategy and business solutions, in partnership with NTT DATA, has opened registrations for the Open Innovation Business Contest, a global startup competition, which will bring together representatives from 10 countries around the world.

São Paulo will host one of the semi-finals, bringing together projects focused on virtual, augmented and mixed reality, and which carry out co-creation in this universe. The Brazilian project selected to represent the country in the competition will compete with those chosen in the same stage, in the cities of Tokyo, San Francisco, London, Tel Aviv, Toronto, Madrid, Barcelona, Singapore, Beijing and São Paulo.

Registration can be made until December 19th via the website http://oi.nttdata.com/en/contest. Both submitted projects and candidate presentations must be made in English.

The presentation phase in each of the cities will take place between February and March 2017. The grand final will be in Tokyo, in March.

"In this initiative, our objective is to attract ideas that promote business innovation in the field of virtual reality. After all, new and growing demands give innovation primacy in the most diverse markets. Combining productive reasoning and innovative action is essential to obtain competitive advantage", says Roberto Godoy, Technology partner at Everis Brasil.

The winner of the Open Innovation Business Contest will receive US$ 30 thousand to be used in the development of their project and will have the opportunity to work with a team from NTT Data — one of the world's leading providers of IT services and innovation — for three months, in the development of a service or product prototype, which will be offered to the company's client companies.
