SP Conecta will be held on August 30th and will have 40 exhibitors
Investe São Paulo, an investment and export promotion agency linked to the Secretariat of Economic Development, Science, Technology and Innovation of the State of São Paulo, will receive a large part of the São Paulo ecosystem to support startups in 1st SP Connect, which will be held at the agency's headquarters in São Paulo on August 30, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. Registration is free and spaces are limited.
The idea is to create new connections between entrepreneurs, incubators, accelerators, academics, associations and governments to accelerate the development of startups in São Paulo, in addition to bringing startups closer to large companies and innovative corporations.
“We all know that the city of São Paulo is the capital of innovation and entrepreneurship in Brazil, but this is an opportunity to bring together very important actors in this process that are in other regions of the state. It is a unique opportunity that will certainly open space for more similar actions in the future”, explains the president of Investe SP, Juan Quirós.
The event will host more than 30 players from the startup support ecosystem who will be available to answer questions, guide or even offer their services to entrepreneurs. Among them will be companies that adopt open innovation, accelerators, incubators, funders, research institutes, business and class associations and the government itself. Thus, these institutions will be able to show their services and programs individually.
The program also includes lectures and case studies. The participation of Cláudio Terra, director of Innovation and Knowledge Management at Hospital Albert Einstein; Bruno Rondani, head of Wenovate and chairman of Open Innovation Week, as well as founder of the 100 Ope Startups movement; Luiz Ortega, manager of Sustainable Development at Braskem; Paulo Castello, founder and CEO of Fhinck; Carlos Kokron, Director of Coporate Venture at Qualcomm, and Karla Bertocco, Undersecretary for Partnerships and Innovation at the São Paulo State Government Secretariat.
