A study carried out by Randstad Technologies, a Human Resources solutions and consulting company, specialized in Information Technologies, relates the shortage of IT professionals to the new requirements of companies, which seek professionals who, in addition to understanding the company's technical needs and being able to translate in IT tools, have a strategic view of the business, its differentials and how to leverage them.

“They are professionals in the IT area working more and more in management and contributing with their knowledge of the business as a whole to leverage results. The role of professionals in this area has never been so strategic”, says Frederico Costa, national manager at Randstad Technologies.

According to the executive, the profile of this professional can be defined as a “functional IT business analyst”, as it is essential to know the needs and processes of the company and go beyond: understanding how their position at the head of the company's information technology can add to develop the business.

For market demand, Costa explains that professionals should seek leadership, motivation and conflict resolution techniques, in addition to surveying processes and functional requirements. It is essential to understand the differentials of the company in which you operate and how your area can help create a competitive advantage for the business. “It is necessary to move from transactional IT to an IT professional who develops projects and provides tools that collaborate for the business company”, he recommends.

Professionals need to develop communication skills and be able to create empathy, develop their relationships with their colleagues and with other levels of the company, managing to translate and justify their actions towards the company to other areas.
