Completely online, the program is accessible to startups from any region of the country

Registration for the second cycle of the year of the Innovative Brazil, Latin America's largest startup acceleration program. From June 29th to August 3rd, innovative Brazilian solutions, from any segment, can apply for free on the website http://www.inovativabrasil.com.br/ciclo20202/ .

Up to 160 startups will be selected for a four-month acceleration, with mentoring, training, connections and online training that will help participants grow and increasingly impact society. At the end, the entrepreneurs present themselves to a bank of investors, accelerators, mentors and investment funds. The objective is to prepare startups in operation and traction stages to interact with investors and win new clients.

Carried out by the Special Secretariat for Productivity, Employment and Competitiveness of the Ministry of Economy in partnership with the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae) and executed by the Reference Centers for Innovative Technologies Foundation (CERTI), the program already has more than 1,100 accelerated startups since 2013.

"Recently, Brazil entered the list of the top 20 countries in the global ranking of startup ecosystems carried out by StartupBlink, rising 17 positions. This evolution is the result of the promotion of innovative Brazilian entrepreneurship by programs such as InovAtiva Brasil, which in its eight years of operation have already impacted more than 30,000 entrepreneurs and contributed to around 200 business roundtables", says Gustavo Ene, Secretary for Development of Industry, Commerce, Services and Innovation of the Special Secretariat for Productivity, Employment and Competitiveness of the Ministry of Economy ( SDIC/SEPEC/ME).

In 2020, the closing event of the acceleration cycle, the InovAtiva Experience, will be held for the first time entirely online. In addition to participating in virtual training and connection activities, the accelerated companies will also make presentations of their startups to investor newsstands across the country. Even after the acceleration is completed, entrepreneurs continue to receive support from the program and strategic partners, in addition to receiving access to exclusive benefits.

"The acceleration cycle of InovAtiva Brasil was already carried out mostly online, allowing startups from all over Brazil to participate without the need to travel to activities. InovAtiva Brasil has been delivering more and more to startups that pass through the program In addition to seeking the constant evolution of the activities carried out during the cycle, we are also carrying out actions with accelerated startups, such as InovAtiva Conecta, which makes it possible to connect startups with market players, such as large companies, investors and potential customers, as the micro and small companies already supported by Sebrae", explains Sebrae's technical director, Bruno Quick.
