R$ 30.5 million will be allocated to innovative projects and DTI research grants

Applications for the 2014 SENAI/SESI Innovation Notice are now open. Companies must work in partnership with the Regional Departments of SENAI, SESI, SENAI/Cetiqt or CNPq.

Resources reach R$ 30.5 million, of which R$ 20 million for SENAI projects, R$ 7.5 million for SESI projects and R$ 3 million in research grants in Technological and Industrial Development (DTI) from CNPq.

Unlike other years, there will be continuous enrollment cycles. Companies will have the chance to submit proposals at any time, until February 15, 2015, with the possibility of selection in quarterly evaluations. Applications must be made online at the public notice page.

“The winners are the companies. The deadline is now longer. Thus, within these evaluation periods, new ideas and projects may arise that will have a greater chance of approval”, explains Jefferson Gomes, executive manager of innovation and technology at SENAI.

The public notice aims to fund technological innovation projects that extend to the areas of health, safety, quality of life, education and culture, through products, processes and services. Any company in the micro, small, medium and large industrial sector can compete. In this edition, startups will also be contemplated and will have a contribution of R$ 5 million of the total amount.

From the first edition, in 2004, to 2013, the Innovation Notice has already received 3,066 proposals. In all, 524 projects were approved.
