R$ 900 thousand will be distributed to companies of all sizes in four categories

 

Entries for the 2014/2015 National Innovation Award are open until December 7th. Micro, small, medium and large companies from all over Brazil can compete, competing for R$ 900,000 pre-approved in the SENAI/SESI Innovation Notice, in addition to an international technical mission and executive education courses. Projects must be submitted exclusively online, on the website www.premiodeinovacao.com.br.
 
The National Innovation Award is an initiative of the Business Mobilization for Innovation (MEI), carried out by the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), the Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae) and the Competitive Brazil Movement (MBC). “The ability to innovate is essential to show how innovation increases profits and converts into economic growth and more opportunities for the country”, highlights the director of innovation at the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), Gianna Sagázio.
 
Companies can compete in four categories:
 
Innovation management - seeks to recognize innovation management methods, techniques and tools that establish an environment conducive to the development of innovative projects.
 
Tecnologic innovation - values product or process projects that contribute to increasing the company's competitiveness levels.
 
Business Model Innovation - rewards the way projects are brought to the market in order to improve business models capable of generating impacts on the company.
 
Local Innovation Agent - aimed at micro and small companies served by Sebrae's Local Innovation Agents Program (ALI) in the industry, commerce and service sectors.
 
The Award is supported by the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL), the National Service for Industrial Learning (SENAI), the Financier of Studies and Projects (Finep) and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI). Winners will be announced at a ceremony in May 2015 in São Paulo.
 
In the last three editions of the Award, there was a significant growth in the number of projects registered. In 2011, there were 427. In 2012, 981. Last year, a record was registered: 2022 entries.
