In the process of digital transformation of companies and the strengthening of business strategies focused on understanding and meeting customer needs, the importance of managing the flow of data for IT and business automation grows. It is also essential to integrate and manage the tools and protocols that allow software to communicate with each other, in order to connect people, processes and things through a digital ecosystem, generate management information, allow mobility and, at the same time, ensure security in organizational environments.

One of the companies that stands out as a provider of information integration and sharing solutions for this digital transformation process is axway, a market reference in data flow governance, and an ABES associate. The portal did an exclusive interview with Marcelo Ramos, senior vice president and general manager of Axway for Latin America, who spoke about the company's operations in Brazil, its services and expectations for the Brazilian market.

What are Axway's main solutions sold in Brazil?
Axway specializes in data flow management and security, as it is essential to have governance in all data exchanges that occur between any applications, companies, devices, partners, people, things, etc. To ensure the quality and security of all these exchanges, it is essential to have the right tools and be able to fully visualize, manage and understand the breadth of data that enters and leaves the company. For this, Axway offers a series of solutions, aimed at companies of all segments, such as: API Management, B2B and EDI Integration, Cloud Services Integration and Management, Integration, MFT Consolidation and Governance, Operational Intelligence Services and analytics, automating and managing accounting and financial processes, and secure file sharing.

What are the differentials of the solutions and services marketed by Axway?
We highlight the security issue as one of the main differentiators of Axway's solutions. Many solutions on the market perform data integration and sharing, but Axway solutions value the security of its customers' data in motion. The experience gained in serving more than 11,000 customers around the world ensures quality and security in meeting all possible standards, which helps companies to reduce threats, improve productivity, reduce costs and prepare for future needs. In addition, Axway is recognized by leading consulting firms that analyze the IT market, such as Forrester and IDC, and is considered a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for API management.

What are the main challenges companies face in the digital transformation process?
One of the biggest challenges is transforming the company's culture to ensure that the customer is at the center of the strategy. In this scenario, the IT department takes on a strategic role in managing legacy systems and integrating them with innovations that allow the customer to have an agile, constant and multichannel experience.

How does the company assess the current macroeconomic scenario in the country?
Like all other companies in the market, we see the difficulty that some sectors of the industry are facing. But companies understand that investing in innovation and technology is a matter of survival. All personal and business interactions have migrated to the virtual environment, and the company that does not offer its products or services through these channels will not be able to keep up with its peers and competitors.

What are Axway's goals in the Brazilian market? Could you name the main customers?
Our goal is to expand our operations to more sectors of the industry. We already have a good penetration in Financial Services, Logistics and Telecom companies, but we know that we have a lot to contribute with Pharmaceuticals and Retail. Some of our clients are FM Logistic, Sem Parar and Boa Vista Serviços. But we have around 200 customers in Brazil and 300 in Latin America.

Do you have any success stories to share with our readers?
In Brazil, we have published the case of FM Logistic, which managed to reduce customer onboarding from 15 to 3 days, performing integration with the system and applications of its customers with automatic adaptation of data and file formats. They have broad visibility of deliveries and goods, with monitoring and alerts on critical information transfers, and the ability to manage a large volume of complex information transfers, which guarantees them SLAs and also provides them with strategic market visibility. We invite Portal readers to visit our website (www.axway.com.br), as we have several global cases published there.

Will the company participate in events or hold its own events in 2016?
We will participate in CIAB, as we have a large customer base in the Financial Industry. We also organize several events of our own, promoting our solutions and, mainly, customer cases. On April 28th, we will be holding a Meetup, which is a more relaxed event, to introduce our API Management solutions and application building platform. In May, we will have our annual customer event, showcasing key technology trends and how our customers have embarked on the Digital Business journey. Anyone who needs more information can consult all our events, which are highlighted on our website: www.axway.com.br.
