ICT entities meet with Michel Temer

 

ABES, Assespro and Brasscom presented a manifesto on the importance of the ICT sector for Brazil

 
This Wednesday, June 8, ABES, Assespro (Federation of Associations of Brazilian Information Technology Companies) and Brasscom (Brazilian Association of Information and Communication Technology Companies) participated in a meeting with the interim president. of the Republic, Michel Temer, together with his ministers and representatives from different sectors to debate the current political and economic moment in Brazil. The meeting was led by FIESP.
 
“It is not just about wanting your company to grow, but it is the most absolute conviction that if you grow up, Brazil will grow. And this is the job that you are going to do, ”said Temer in his speech. According to the interim president, employment, the first social right of Brazilian citizens according to the Federal Constitution, will only come with the performance of the private sector. Temer also stressed that the qualification of the government's economic team and the harmony of the Executive with the Legislative will certainly ensure that the country's economic objectives are achieved.
 
The entities took advantage of the meeting to deliver to the interim president the Manifesto "The Order and Progress of our Brazil", signed by the three entities in the Information and Communication Technology sector, which highlights the importance of the sector for Brazilian economic development.
 
In order to increase the efficiency and competitiveness of the sector, the document delivered to Temer points out that, despite the current political and economic crisis that Brazil is currently facing, the use of technologies is configured as an alternative for leveraging the economy. In addition, the manifesto also suggests short-term initiatives to enhance the digital transformation of Brazil.
 
The expectation with the manifesto is the consolidation of a future and exclusive agenda for the ICT sector, in which technology strategies and solutions, such as Big Data, the Internet of Things and Information Security, among others, can be discussed and detailed. solutions that can make society more digital.
