The American magazine Fast Company has developed a world ranking that honors companies that invest in research and cause the greatest impact on the market. In 2013, the Brazilian Enalta, from São Carlos (SP), the main agricultural automation company in Latin America, entered this ranking and occupies the 43rd position, alongside giants like Nike (1st in the ranking), Amazon (2nd), Pinterest (8th), Google (11th), Apple (13th) and Coca Cola (14th), ahead of Microsoft (48th) and Tumblr (50th).

The publication mentions the use of a system for sensing, acting, monitoring and managing the various phases of the agricultural operation that takes the sugarcane mill to be transformed into ethanol. This system enabled a more productive harvest after two bad harvests that hampered ethanol exports in the country, as one of the cases Enalta's success story and claims that viewing plantations online and even in real time has increased sales orders for the three largest Brazilian ethanol producers, leading net sales of this solution in question to jump from R$ 1 million in 2011 to R$ 8 million in 2012.

At the Top 10 in Latin America, Enalta appears in first place, standing out among other national companies, such as GraalBio (4th), Tecsis (6th) and Netshoes (7th). “Great moment for Enalta. It is recognition of our efforts. We continually work to bring the best in on-board computers and management systems and then optimize the customer's production processes and business rules. Our objectives are also the development and growth of our clients, who are already large, with great discipline in anticipating client needs and the commercial result came naturally”, says Giandri Machado, executive director of Enalta”.
