Emphasys, which has been operating in the software market for 14 years, has just acquired 75% from AdaptWorks, which offers consulting and training. The remaining 25% will remain with founder Alexandre Magno.

According to Marcello Lacerda, CEO of Emphasys, the organization had already started efforts to obtain more agility in the development of software solutions, which should be enhanced with the merger between the companies.

“AdaptWorks has the expertise we need. With the acquisition, the expectation is to advance faster and with quality to be a reference in agile development for corporations. In addition, it will also allow us to offer educational services to our customers”, he explains.

With 4 years of existence, AdaptWorks is recognized in the universe of agile methods and management. More than 5,000 professionals have graduated from their training, including certifications in Scrum, the most widespread agile method. It has also helped several organizations – from SMEs to large corporations, such as Petrobras, Terra and Itaú/Unibanco – to make their IT projects more agile.
