Editora Globo is the first to launch a magazine for IPhone

Editora Globo redesigned the magazine Autoesporte for reading on the iPhone, with a reduced size and a novelty: the main articles of the edition are read to the reader by the author of the article. Editora Globo is the first in Brazil to create this new application format, in which the content of the printed publication is adapted for the smartphone.

All the articles were diagrammed in order to facilitate the reading of the texts, the navigation of the pages and the visualization of the images on the cell phone, taking advantage of all the resources offered by the platform. The texts are structured in a single scrolling column, viewed with the iPhone in an upright position. To see the photos, just flip the device horizontally. All of this makes reading more interactive and dynamic.

The application was developed by Editora Globo's Digital Innovation area. Soon, the app will also be available on smartphones with other operating systems. Editora Globo's other brands will also gain the new version of the application throughout the year.

The app is free and each issue of the magazine costs US$ 3.99. January's Autoesporte can now be downloaded from the App Store. Subscribers to the print magazine have access to mobile editions monthly, as well as the version for tablets. Anyone who wants to know the application can download a free special tasting version for free.
