Softex and partners inaugurated the space and promoted the Summit Manaus Tech Hub event to mark the opening of the venue
With the proposal to connect startups, RD&I centers, medium and large companies with investment potential, generate solid business and facilitate fundraising, Softex announced its entry into the operation of the new technology space in the Amazon: the Manaus Tech Hub.
“We recently launched the Priority Program for Innovative Entrepreneurship (PPEI) in the Amazon, developed in partnership with the Superintendence of the Manaus Free Trade Zone (SUFRAMA). The Manaus Tech Hub is another step towards strengthening the entrepreneurial culture and developing the innovation ecosystem in the Amazon region”, explains Diônes Lima, vice president of Softex.
And to celebrate the start of the Manaus Tech Hub activities, from September 11 to 14, the Summit Manaus Tech Hub was held, a free event focused on entrepreneurship, innovation and internationalization. The event was promoted by Softex in partnership with Sidia – Institute of Science and Technology, with the Superintendence of the Manaus Free Trade Zone (SUFRAMA), with the Center for Business Incubation and Development (CIDE), with CITS Amazonas and Positivo.
On the 11th and 12th, the program targeted businessmen and entrepreneurs. Speakers from Gartner, Euromonitor, Apex-Brasil and the Canadian Consulate analyzed consumption trends and the potential for internationalization in the North region. It was also discussed how companies in the Manaus Free Trade Zone that are beneficiaries of the Informatics Law can safely and uncomplicated discharge their tax obligations and actively participate in the development of personalized projects, benefiting the local ecosystem.
The content on the 13th and 14th was tailor-made for early stage entrepreneurs and startups interested in developing their idea and business and is linked to the Conecta Startup Brasil Program and the Innovative Entrepreneurship Priority Program (PPEI). The program included lectures on design thinking, problem validation, MVP and pitch, as well as group dynamics.
