Easy Taxi, the largest mobile services application in the world, starts operating in Guatemala and Honduras. The opening of operations in the two new countries consolidates the multinational as a leader in the Latin American market in taxi calls via app.
“The company's expansion is in line with Easy Taxi's growth plan, which aims to improve urban mobility and offer a safe taxi service for taxi drivers and passengers. We are present in all countries in South and Central America, covering more than 95% of the taxi market in the regions”, explains Dennis Wang, CEO of Easy Taxi.
The start of operations in new markets marks Easy Taxi's expansion strategy in 2015, along with the corporate tool “Easy Taxi Empresas” and the payment of the race by electronic means “Credit Card in the App”.
“Quickly and safely, we revolutionized the way to order a taxi. The intention now is to simplify the payment of races for all passengers, including corporate ones. Our goal is to make the user experience as easy as calling an elevator,” said Dennis.
Easy Taxi ended 2014 with more than 6 million races. The company estimates that more than 50 million races have been carried out since the beginning of its operations, in 2011. This resulted in a turnover of US$ 500 million for taxi drivers.
