EADS, which operates in the aerospace, defence, security and related services segments, launched the worldwide competition for postgraduate students in the areas of technology and engineering “Encontre-me se Puder”, aimed at the development of facial recognition technologies.
 
The challenge consists of, using two different photos of a face, ensuring with maximum precision that the two images are of the same person. Contestants must develop an algorithm capable of answering the question.  
 
Reconhecimento Facial
 
The most innovative, fast and efficient solution will be rewarded with a trip to Kourou, in French Guiana, where the Ariane 5 rocket will be launched by Astrium, one of the divisions of EADS specialized in the operation of space technologies and which, together with Parrot, global mobile technology company also sponsors the contest.
