Dynatrace, the world leader in software intelligence, announces the expansion of its monitoring platform with capabilities based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to include support for IBM Z mainframes for CICS, IMS and middleware. In this way, the company starts to provide customers with accurate information about the performance of digital services in hybrid environments – from modern cloud-based applications to the mainframe.

“While companies are migrating their in-house applications to more modern cloud structures that increase business agility and competitive advantage, the fact is that these applications rely on transactions and critical data residing on IBM Z mainframes. This puts pressure on these systems. , forcing them to perform tasks that were not anticipated when mainframes were first introduced,” says Steve Tack, Senior Vice President of Products at Dynatrace. “Because Dynatrace® offers hybrid end-to-end visibility, customers can optimize new services, detect performance degradation before user impact, and understand exactly who was impacted by an incident.”

Mainframes generate 30 billion transactions a day and are used by 71% of Fortune 500 companies. However, for many organizations, back-end technology layers create blind spots in their current monitoring approach. This makes it difficult to identify, analyze and resolve performance issues, which can jeopardize key business transactions and impact users. Lack of visibility can also result in runaway MIPS usage costs, which can run into hundreds of thousands of dollars due to errors and inefficient actions that go unseen.

Unlike other solutions that try to connect different tools to unite a business transaction, Dynatrace® proposes to offer end-to-end visibility, automatically discovering and mapping all transactions with a single solution, which includes innovative features based on Artificial Intelligence. . This real-time visibility, from cloud solutions to mainframe, gives companies a huge competitive advantage – they can eliminate inefficiencies and, as a result, innovate at a faster pace.

Expanding the capabilities of the software intelligence platform also includes expanding Dynatrace's support levels for a range of integration and middleware technologies such as those offered by Tibco BusinessWorks, MuleSoft, IBM Integration Bus, IBM MQ and IBM DataPower, ensuring that organizations no longer have blind spots in their enterprise Cloud environments.
