GDPR, compliance and innovation are on the roadshow schedule

Among the topics that will be addressed, Thomaz Lopes Corte Real, a lawyer at ABES, will highlight the General Data Protection Law - LGPD, which will impact all sectors of the economy and will have extraterritorial application. “Every company that does business in the country must adapt to it”, he warns.
Another relevant topic is compliance with the Anti-Corruption Law, which will be addressed by Carolina Marzano, ABES compliance officer. “We will talk about the benefits of implementing a compliance program, recommendations on interacting with public agents and how to avoid fines and penalties”, he adds.
Jamile Sabatini Marques, director of Innovation and Development at ABES, will talk about the Brazilian Innovation System, trends, challenges and opportunities to promote the Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Cities, Industry 4.0 and how traditional sectors are in search of innovation and partnerships.
