In March, at Autodesk's headquarters in San Francisco, the leaders of the MIT IDE (MIT Initiative on the Digital Economy), with the support and partnership of the Autodesk Foundation, officially launched a competition for entrepreneurs around the world. This is the CII (MIT Inclusive Innovation Challenge), the main award of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which will award US $ 1.6 million to entrepreneurs who use technology to revolutionize work and boost economic opportunities in the era digital. This is a global competition and entries are open until the 9th of May.

For the past three years, the Inclusive Innovation Challenge (CII) – sponsored by MIT's Digital Economy Initiative (IDE) – has challenged entrepreneurs around the world to reinvent the way technological innovation is harnessed. The initiative serves as a catalyst to accelerate entrepreneurs who are already turning projects into reality. In addition, the challenge wants to drive a solution-oriented conversation about the future of work.

For this year's tournament, it was announced that the prize pool will award US $ 1.6 million to the winners. The challenge will take place on five continents. Regional finalists will be announced on July 23. In November, a big event will be held to welcome all the winners.

Since 2016, 3,000 organizations have registered in over 100 countries. Success has been far-reaching so far. A total of US$ 3.5 million has already been distributed among the approximately 100 winners, with solutions for the most different sectors and areas.
