Tender presents challenges related to facilitating and promoting access to credit

The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) launched the “Desafio BNDES Fintech”, a contest that will offer R$ 100 thousand in prizes for the most innovative technological solutions aimed at the financial market.

The contest presents nine challenges to fintechs, and each of them can choose one or more to solve. The challenges are related to facilitating and promoting access to credit, seeking to benefit all organizations aligned with these objectives. The idea is to help foster the ecosystem, encourage the development of solutions to the problems of access to credit and help in the dissemination and promotion of products and services offered by fintechs.

Interested companies can register until September 3 on the Bank's website (www.bndes.gov.br/desafiofintech) and present creative solutions for credit analysis, identification of potential customers, integration with digital platforms, impact assessment, digitization of the entire credit granting process, blockchain and digital currencies, fraud prevention and other tools to facilitate credit for micro, small and medium-sized companies.

After the registration period, the BNDES' technical team will select ten finalists, who will present in person at the Bank, on November 26 this year. The nominees will be evaluated by a panel formed by a specialist or investment fund manager in startups and representatives of external entities, such as the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae), Endeavor Brasil and the Brazilian Association of Financial Institutions of Development (ABDE). The winner will receive a prize of R$ 50,000, while the runner-up will receive R$ 40,000 and the remaining R$ 10,000 will go to fintech ranked third.

Consultation – In January, the BNDES launched a public consultation, which ended in March, to learn about fintech technological solutions that can be integrated into the MSME Developer Channel. The objective was to investigate, through proof of concept, technological solutions existing in the market for four types of services that the Bank wishes to offer to smaller companies in the future: financial education, credit analysis, matching of financial solutions and reverse credit auctions. for funding.

The list of companies enrolled in the proof of concept and more information about the consultation are available at the link www.bndes.gov.br/consultafintechs.
