The objective is to expand the potential responses to cyber threats for Dell customers

Dell Technologies today announced the expansion of its partnership with cybersecurity company CrowdStrike. The objective of the partnership is to improve the MDR (Managed Detection and Response) with CrowdStrike's native Artificial Intelligence tool, Falcon XDR, providing Dell customers with the most agile and flexible cyber threat detection and management. The new solution is now available to customers around the world.

Faced with an increasingly faster and more sophisticated global scenario of cyber threats, companies are seeking to equip themselves with technological solutions that fill their security gaps. Today, cybercriminals are able to be even more discreet and stealthy in their attacks, posing an imminent silent threat. According to the study Global Threat Report 2024 from CrowdStrike, the number of cyberattacks and cloud intrusions increased by 75% in 2023 from the previous year. The same study also showed that the fastest cyberattack recorded in 2023 lasted just 2 minutes and 7 seconds.

Cybercriminals can target their attacks across the victim's entire digital environment: endpoints, servers, networks and the cloud itself, where millions of sensitive data and credentials are stored. Aiming to provide complete protection to its customers, Dell opted for a solution that uses Artificial Intelligence to mitigate and detect risks. The CrowdStrike Falcon XDR tool increases threat visibility by actively searching for potential risks, as well as detecting, investigating, and organizing responses to these attacks.

“Working with industry leaders like CrowdStrike is critical to offering customers choice and flexibility in a very fragmented and complex security landscape,” said Mihir Maniar, Vice President of Infrastructure and Security Services Portfolio at Dell Technologies. “Customers need scalable, results-based security solutions to stay ahead of increasingly sophisticated threats. Combining MDR with the CrowdStrike platform enables customers to significantly reduce threat exposure, detect and respond to incidents, and recover applications and systems,” he concluded.

“Together with Dell, we see an opportunity to offer all customers – from large organizations to small and medium-sized businesses – the best security outcomes, preventing breaches, consolidating point products and reducing costs,” said Daniel Bernard, Chief Business Officer at CrowdStrike.
