Dell has released version 11 of Dell Cloud Manager (DCM), aimed at managing applications and services stored in the cloud, whether public, private or hybrid. Among the novelties, the solution, aimed at medium and large corporations, includes a panel for simplified management and new functionalities for automatic recovery and scalability of environments.

The solution provides improved support for distributed environments, based on the TOSCA standard, which simplifies the portability and management of cloud-based applications and services. It also incorporates support for Windows Azure Pack and Microsoft Azure, which provides Microsoft customers with the first standalone solution for centrally managing public and private cloud environments.

“Managing consumption and access to cloud environments is already a challenge for IT managers. Dell Cloud Manager seeks to solve this challenge by offering automated management of multiple cloud platforms, allowing growth to occur in a controlled, simple and intelligent way”, points out Rubia Coimbra, director of Dell Software Brazil. “The launch of this new version is in line with Dell's strategy of offering end-to-end IT solutions to our customers, which guarantee increasingly open and scalable environments”, he adds.
