Dassault Systèmes, a world reference in 3D design software, 3D Digital Mock Up and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), announces a definitive purchase agreement for CST – Computer Simulation Technology AG, of electromagnetic and electronic simulation technology, for around 220 million of euros.
With the acquisition of CST, located in Germany, Dassault Systèmes complements the suite of realistic simulations present in the 3D Experience Industry Solutions Experience with a wide spectrum of EM simulations. CST's CST STUDIO SUITE software is used by engineers and CAE analysts in over 2,000 companies in the electronics, transportation and mobility, aeronautics and defense, and energy industries to evaluate all types of EM effects during every step of the development process of electronic systems. CST customers include Airbus Defense and Space, Bosch Group, Frauscher Sensor Technology and Sirona. CST's revenue in 2015 was approximately 47 million euros.
