Strategic partnership reinforces cybersecurity and raises the standard of excellence in the engineering plastics industry
THE Blockbit, a company specialized in the cybersecurity market, and Dakhia, an engineering plastics compounds industry, announce a partnership for the implementation of Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) in all units focused on extrusion and sales of plastic resins. Blockbit's Next-Generation Firewall installed in Dakhia's operations is supporting the industry on a new cybersecurity journey, with more defined policies, process standardization and greater security for business information.
“We are starting a new cycle focused on cybersecurity and counting on Blockbit and its solution has been very important for us. Our units and business are quite complex, with many employees, as well as critical processes and data that need to be protected. Blockbit's Next-Generation Firewall is bringing the protection we need to our environments”, says Rinaldo Sumi, CEO of Dakhia.
Dakhia is the main Brazilian company producing engineering plastic compounds, serving sectors such as mobility, electronics, consumer goods and industries throughout Brazil. With an installed annual production capacity of more than 20 thousand tons, Dakhia has a broad portfolio that includes the production of engineering plastics such as Polyamides 6 and 66, Polyamide ECO 5.6, Polycarbonate, ABS and Polyacetal, among others. The complexity of this operation, which must be agile and reliable to meet the broad demand for plastics in some of the most important sectors of the Brazilian economy, requires that the industry is adequately protected against attacks to mitigate the risk of downtime. Therefore, Dakhia is committed to investing in cutting-edge technologies and raising awareness among its professionals regarding cybersecurity.
Before implementing the Next-Generation Firewall, Dakhia sought a more robust approach to cybersecurity. Blockbit's solution was chosen for its reliability, as well as fast and effective support to offer the highest level of security. The next-generation corporate firewall combines, in a single solution, advanced access controls and protection for users, applications and the network, with features such as web content filtering (SWG), detailed packet inspection (DPI), advanced threat protection ( ATP) and intrusion prevention system (IPS).
Through deep packet inspection and encrypted traffic, the solution makes it possible to control and block modern threats and attacks. The solution also allows the quick creation of policies to control access to business applications, with a secure remote connection (VPN). Additionally, it generates event logs to increase visibility for the IT team, which can quickly identify suspicious traffic. The customer can monitor occurrences on a management panel, which provides the real scenario of the company's protection. For Dakhia, the implementation was customized according to its needs, including specific configurations, control of access to websites following internal governance, implementation of IPSEC (Internet Protocol) and VPN.
“We are very happy with the partnership and the work we are developing with Dakhia. With Blockbit's Next-Generation Firewall, in addition to greater security for systems and applications, Dakhia is also observing an internal cultural change in relation to cybersecurity”, says Flávio Candido, Telecom Director at Blockbit. According to the executive, the solution is capable of identifying and combating multiple threats and attack techniques, offering comprehensive protection with high precision. “We note how committed Dakhia is to the cybersecurity of its business and are already jointly planning new initiatives, such as the implementation of Blockbit's Next-Generation Firewall in other customer business units.”
