ABES is supporting the third edition of the Extension Course on Privacy and Protection of Personal Data: Theory and Practice, promoted by Data Privacy Brasil, under the command of its founders Bruno Bioni and Renato Leite Monteiro.
 
There will be 45 class hours, given on Fridays, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and on Saturdays, from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm (11/23, 11/24, 12/07, 12/08, 12/14 and 12/15), at Impact Hub, Rua Doutor Virgílio de Carvalho Pinto, 433, Pinheiros, in São Paulo.
 
ABES members will have a 10% discount, using the code abes10 on application form.
 
According to the organizers, the participant will not only understand the theoretical concepts, but will also be "hands-on" from real and simulated cases in all classes. With this methodology, the course will enable professionals from different areas to interact with each other and apply the acquired knowledge in a practical way in their daily lives.
 
Evolution of the concept of privacy and protection of personal data, concession and "privatization" of databases of public bodies, transport applications, legality of the credit scoring system, governance of algorithms and application blocking, discussions on Brazilian legislation and GDPR and simulation of the implementation of corporate programs are some of the topics and activities that will be developed in the course.
 
Data Privacy Brasil aims to promote the production of knowledge about the impact of information technologies on privacy and protection of personal data. From the production of analyzes that can support the public debate on the challenges of a society and economy increasingly driven and driven by data.
