CPqD has just signed a technological partnership with Oppencadd Advanced Technology, a company specialized in model-based design that exclusively distributes MATLAB and Simulink software in Brazil.

The main objective of the agreement is the joint development of projects, through the sum of knowledge, modeling, simulators, embedded codes, specific algorithms and rapid prototyping, among other tools that follow the concepts of model-based design and model-based system engineering .

To this end, Opencadd will make available licenses for the programs it represents in the country, in the form of Software as a Service (SaaS), for use in projects to be developed together with CPqD, in various areas of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) - such as optical sensors, for example. In addition, the agreement provides for cooperation between the two organizations in prospecting customers and projects involving the development of products, businesses and services.

Douglas Oliveira, Opencadd's CEO, argues that “the partnership highlights competences and synergies, guided by similar purposes and objectives, which transcend the essential economic and financial results. With collaboration and cooperation, the clients of both will have added to their respective businesses, the state of the art in research and development, as well as innovation in constant motion ”.

The Vice President of Business Development at CPqD, José Eduardo Azarite, states that “Opencadd has tools that help to optimize the development cycle of solutions in the area of sensing and development. We have a series of R&D projects, which in partnership with OPENCADD, we will be able to accelerate the processes and reach results more quickly ”and“ a very important fact of this alliance, is that from a commercial point of view, both CPqD and OPENCADD, will be able to bring to the market the solutions developed under this agreement ”.

CPqD researcher and engineer, Marcos Sanches, explains that the partnership “arose from the need to add more technology development capacity with numerical simulation. The partnership will make it possible to combine internal and external efforts with the right tools and training, without having to make a heavy investment, to unite CPqD's physical knowledge capacity, with OPENCADD's modeling knowledge. The union between these two worlds facilitates both sides ”.
