Last Wednesday (04/24) the launch of the Digital Brazil Plan 2030+ by the Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation Commission (CTITD) of the Council for Sustainable Social Economic Development (CDESS). The event was attended by authorities from the Civil House and the Ministries of Development, Management, Health, Science and Technology and Communications, as well as representatives from companies, IT sector entities and NGOs. Paulo Milliet Roque and Marcelo de Almeida followed the launch directly from Brasília.

The plan is structured around six fundamental pillars: Digital InfrastructureStrategic TechnologiesResearch and InnovationDigital EducationDigital Social Inclusion and Business environment. With 27 strategic actions, the objective of this plan is to position Brazil as a global leader in digital transformation.

O document brings the proposal of creating a Special Secretariat for Digital Transformation, linked to Presidency of the Republic, and would be responsible for formulating and approving strategic public policies related to the agenda, helping to coordinate service digitalization policies and digital transformation actions spread across different federal departments and agencies.

Laércio Cosentino, leader of TOTVS and Brasscom, highlighted the importance of this plan going beyond the borders of the IT sector, integrating the plan with government policies and civil society. The preparation of the Plano Brasil Digital 2030+ was a collaboration between CDESS, Brasscom and ABES, with consultancy from Oliver Wyman to consolidate contributions from various entities and the government.

Rodolfo Fücher, president of the ABES Council, highlighted the excellent work leading these discussions carried out by Gloria Guimaraes and Laércio Cosentino, in addition to emphasizing the exceptional leadership of Paulo Henrique Rodrigues Pereira in coordinating the Council, and Adriano Laureno in coordinating the commission ( CTITD).

Affonso Nina, Executive President of Brasscom, reflected on the opportunities lost by Brazil in recent decades and emphasized that a cohesive, long-term plan is essential for the country to become a benchmark in innovation and technological excellence on the world stage.
