Discover and register on the Innovation Portal

The Innovation Portal is the most consolidated virtual tool for technological cooperation in Brazil. Launched in 2006, after almost two years of work on its development, it brings together different users of the Brazilian Innovation System. This is an initiative of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI), with the creation of the Center for Management and Strategic Studies (CGEE) and operational management of the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI). The public currently registered on the Portal is divided into four large groups: specialists, innovation agents, Science and Technology Institutes (ICTs) and companies.

Specialists are individuals interested in offering their technology services. Public and private ICTs present their areas of competence in their portfolio, in the same way that companies can register their demand for cooperation and offer services. The Innovation Portal is the only one on the market to also bring together an audience of innovation agents, which includes both institutions dedicated to the promotion and promotion of the theme and individuals who work on the theme. The Innovation Portal also has a unique search tool that scans the entire base of updated Lattes curricula. Results can be filtered by state, place of residence of experts, among other possibilities. The search is based on the keyword chosen by the user. The system also has a closed messaging system through which people can get in touch individually, in a protected way. In recent years, the Portal has developed clippings for specific audiences. Examples of this are the Biotechnology section, the SAPI of the National Association of Entities Promoting Innovative Enterprises (Anprotec) and the Brazilian Technology System (Sibratec), in the area of technological services. The clippings are developed by partner institutions to establish a direct channel of dialogue with the members of their networks within the Portal environment.
