SoftwareOne, a reference company in software and cloud technology solutions and services, has just announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Brian Duffy as the company's new CEO. Since May 2023, the executive has occupied the position of Dieter Schlosser and, now, he definitively assumes the challenge of leading SoftwareOne's global operation, helping customers in their journeys of digital evolution.
According to the Chairman of the Board of SoftwareOne, Daniel von Stockar, the company is very satisfied with the arrival of the new executive. “Brian is a global technology leader with an impressive track record, including a proven ability to drive innovation, growth and customer success. We are confident that he will successfully guide SoftwareOne into its next phase of growth and help customers maximize their technology investments. Duffy joins SoftwareOne after nearly 20 years at SAP. Most recently, the executive served as President of the Cloud division, responsible for creating and scaling “RISE with SAP”, a key strategy designed to move customers to the cloud. Prior to this role, Duffy was President of SAP Northern Europe, leading the region's business from end to end, including overseeing go-to-market planning, sales strategies and partner engagement. In addition, the new CEO served as Head of Global Strategic Initiatives, leading negotiations on key trade agreements globally. During his tenure, Duffy has lived in the US, UK, Japan and China and was a member of the Global Sustainability Council and Executive Sponsor of Diversity and Inclusion.
Dieter Schlosser points out that it has been a privilege to lead SoftwareOne. “We've had great success over the years and the credit goes to the entire SoftwareOne team in our 90 countries. As the company enters the next stage of its growth journey, it becomes a natural time for me to step down and pass the baton to a new leader. I will work in extreme synergy with Duffy to ensure a seamless transition.”
Dieter Schlosser joined SoftwareOne in 2012 as COO and served as CEO from January 2019 until May 2023. During his tenure as CEO, the executive oversaw the acquisition of Comparex, SoftwareOne's successful IPO in October 2019, as well as its transformation into a global software and cloud solutions provider, with sales doubling to over CHF 1 billion by 2022.
