ABES is a partner of the largest event in the sector in Latin America

Registration is open for the fifth edition of the Smart City Business America Congress & Expo – SCBAC&E. The event takes place between the 22nd and 24th of May in Curitiba – Paraná. This year's theme is “Business Ecosystem for Smart Cities”. ABES is an institutional supporter of the event, which is considered the largest discussion forum on smart cities in Latin America, receiving mayors, public managers and CEOs of companies related to solutions and technologies for cities.

4,000 people are expected over the three days of programming, an increase of 30% compared to 2016. There will be more than 150 speakers in 50 thematic panels and exhibition forums. Dozens of exhibitors will present their products and innovations, exemplifying solutions that will reach cities in the coming years.

“We will have an event focused on business and the market, pointing out the best strategies to leverage smart cities. Changing the urban landscape from technology is no longer a future prediction. It is a reality that is already happening in several cities around the world and that Brazil must be aware of in order not to be left behind”, says Leopoldo de Albuquerque, president of the Smart City Business America Institute.

To provide a great meeting between private initiative and public management, mayors, councilors, secretaries and municipal servants will have free registration. Entities and associations, architects and urban planners, universities and research centers are entitled to a discount. Until March 31, all categories still get an additional discount.

Smart City Business will take place at Expo Unimed Curitiba, in an area of more than 10,000 square meters. More information can be obtained on the official website of the event: smartcitybusiness.com.br/2017/.
