Nixie wearable camera wins US$ 500K grand prize
 
Nixie is the grand prize winner of the Intel Make it Wearable Challenge, a global initiative that Intel announced at CES 2014 to spark creativity and challenge innovators to advance personal computing using Intel Edison technology. Check out the winning projects:
 
1st Place – Nixie – As a grand prize winner worth US$ 500,000, Nixie is the first wearable camera capable of flying and unfolding to capture the perfect shot from unique perspectives.
 
2nd Place – Open Bionics – Received US$ 200K for using low-cost, high-efficiency 3D printing and scanning to bring custom products to amputees for less than US$ 1K. 
 

3rd Place – ProGlove – The US$ 100,000 award was won for offering a corporate invention that seeks to reduce the stress resulting from physical work, improve ergonomics and reduce costs related to errors in the work environment.
