Water crisis motivates young people
With the water crisis installed in about 11 Brazilian states, the use of mobile applications to help control water consumption. Therefore, the Benchmarking Brazil Program launched the More da Sustentabilidade Hackathon in partnership with Information Technology courses at Anhembi Morumbi and Uninove universities. The objective is to encourage and recognize the talent of young designers and programmers who, with their applications, help to build a new awareness and culture in relation to the socio-environmental challenges of our time. Representatives from Google and Intel were part of the technical committee that evaluated the applications.
The Level Up+ application, created by Uninove students Erico Luiz Frank and Rodrigo Silveira Dias de Lima, was the winner by the technical jury. Level Up+ bets on the power of social media as users post photos of water leaks on public roads, people washing cars, sidewalks, etc. The photos will have a geolocator of where they were taken, helping workers in the city's sanitation network to quickly identify and solve the problem. “Our idea is to bring social responsibility not only to basic sanitation companies, but to the general public, so that they act as vigilantes. It helps us get through the serious water crisis, combining speed and the reach of social media”, explains university student Érico Luiz Frank.
Recognized by popular vote, the Irriga-Ação application helps in the smart consumption of water for irrigation, one of the main forms of waste of the resource in the world that reaches 70%. According to its creator, Fabrício Tenaglia, from Anhembi Morumbi, the app calculates the amount of liters of water needed to irrigate a given area of the property, helping the rural producer to use the resource more rationally, avoiding waste, while maintaining productivity.
App for realtors
ZAP has launched the ZAP Pro APP. With it, brokers and real estate agents will be able to receive alerts in real time every time the properties advertised on the ZAP Portal are contacted by an interested party. In addition, the APP will feature industry news and tips for professionals in the field. With the launch of the new platform, ZAP expects to exclusively serve brokers who are already customers of the www.zapimoveis.com.br portal. The app, which is now available for iOS and Android, is a way for the family to be able to keep up with their children's routine with the support of a relaxed platform, which will add important instructions on how to turn eating and physical activities into a great game.
The product was developed by a nutritional team from the Minha Vida group. DS Kids is an institutional project of Diet and Health, with the objective of helping children to have a healthier life and future. Dieta e Saúde is the largest online weight loss program in Brazil, with more than 5 million downloads and in 2014 alone, more than 1 million pounds lost by its users.
Brazilian app allows you to refer and search for doctors
A new application has just been launched for iOS and Android and promises to be a tool to meet a growing demand from society: the qualified search for medical indications. This is because the HealthMeApp database (www.healthmeapp.com.br) is fed by the experiences of the users themselves, thus creating a collaborative network of information.
The registration in the new app can be linked to the user's Facebook account. The great advantage of this option is the possibility to see the indications made by friends connected by the social network. “This makes the experience even richer, because in addition to seeing general indications about a doctor, you can interact with your friends to have even more information about a particular professional”, adds Magalhães.
HealthMeApp is a genuinely Brazilian application created by the couple Carla and Guilherme Magalhães and based on their own experiences. “Both Carla and I have had not very pleasant experiences with doctors who were just based on proximity to home. Therefore, we understand this issue of indication as fundamental, even more so when we are dealing with health”, says Guilherme Magalhães. The design is signed by That Studio, by Fernando Heynen and Beatriz Colas, which develops art for TV and cinema animation, as well as website and brand design. The programming was in charge of Douglas Neves and the final development is by Carambola.
Application for fibromyalgia patients in IOS version
The Brazilian Society of Rheumatology (SBR), in partnership with Pfizer, launched the FIQr application (Fibriomyalgia Impact Questionnaire – Revised) for patients with fibromyalgia, a syndrome whose main symptom is chronic, diffuse and widespread pain throughout the world. body and that affects nine times more women.
As pain is a subjective symptom, which depends on the perception and personal tolerance of each patient, the physician assesses the progression of the disease taking into account the complaints and the physical examination performed in the office. With the application, the health professional will be able to analyze the functional and emotional state of the patient already in the first consultation and in the return, reassess it through the questionnaire.
Between one appointment and another, the patient can record pain levels according to the activities performed. The system will generate a graph showing the intensity and pain points during each activity performed. In this way, it will be possible to carry out a complete mapping of the evolution and peaks of pain in the period. The graphs will be sent by email to the doctor, facilitating future consultations and treatment.
