Several entrepreneurs have directed their energy and creativity to the creation of social impact startups, which aim to transform a complex socioeconomic situation and propose solutions to real everyday problems. Attuned to the benefits of these initiatives, the ABES SOFTWARE CONFERENCE 2019 opened the opportunity for these startups to talk about their activities during the event so that more people can get involved.

In addition to Social Symbiosis, whose subject you can check here, the startups Donate Easy and Leoa were present at the event with the pre-launch of Philanthropic Campaign purple december, which aims to encourage and facilitate donations to the Funds for Support of Children and Adolescents, permitted by law and which can be deducted from income tax due up to a limit of 6% for individuals.

“We want to encourage this type of donation and educate taxpayers to donate every year, until the last month of the calendar year, as defined in the Federal Revenue's rules. We will also facilitate the donation experience, with bank slip and credit card acceptance. Another important point is the automation of issuing the receipt”, adds Paulo Henrique, CEO and co-founder of the startups Easy copper and Donate Easy.

“We plan to join forces with other brands, companies and class associations, such as ABES, to reach and mobilize 5 million people. Doing good through this donation to the Children and Adolescents Support Funds does not affect the budget and brings joy to those who collaborate”, explains Eduardo Canova, founder and CEO of Lioness.

The December Purple campaign will be officially launched on December 1, 2018, when donations can be made through the Doe Fácil platform. Entrepreneurs believe that it is through education that it will be possible to create a culture in Brazilians of donating and helping entities.

Social impact synergy

The startup Doe Fácil was born from the performance of fintech Cobre Fácil, a platform that facilitates and automates the collection process for small and medium-sized companies that currently have more than 16,000 customers. Paulo Henrique explains that Doe Fácil emerged when they began to receive registrations from third sector entities that Cobre Fácil does not serve.

“We went to understand the reason for this demand and realized that there is a lot of bureaucracy and inefficiency to receive and automate donations. Therefore, Doe Fácil stands out precisely because it does not follow the crowdfunding format, but rather constitutes a platform of financial and management solutions for the third sector in order to facilitate the receipt of recurring or non-recurring donations”, explains Paulo.

already the startup lioness, created by entrepreneur Eduardo Canova, is a platform based on artificial intelligence that facilitates the declaration of income tax that proposes to help millions of Brazilians to declare their IR in a simple way and pay less taxes, increasing their refund, and even even, anticipating it, through legal means that, generally, taxpayers are not aware of.

Canova explains that the campaign is made possible by the synergy between startups Leoa and Doe Fácil. “Many people do not donate, because they do not know that this donation is fully deducted from the income tax due and, in addition, the taxpayer does not know how to enter it in the declaration. Let's make this activity easier for him. The Purple December campaign has everything to be a success”, he concludes.
