Free program includes lectures with experts, analysis of success cases and virtual matchmaking event with investors

THE Softex Amazônia will promote between September 2nd and October 6th the “Connection Amazon”, A series of free events for companies and entrepreneurs interested in learning about the Priority Program for Innovative Entrepreneurship (PPEI) * and the benefits offered to companies and startups interested in operating in the technology ecosystem of the Western Amazon.

“It will be an opportunity for a better understanding of the immense potential of the North region as a generator of new innovative businesses, as well as for the exchange of experiences and networking”, explains Ana Pires, project manager at Softex Amazônia.

With startups, technology companies and the entrepreneurial community as target audiences, the “Conexão Amazônia” programming will present in detail the scope of the PPEI, the roadmap for accessing investments, success stories of startups and companies benefited by the program, the ICTs and training programs available.

Among the speakers, among other specialists, are Leopoldo Montenegro, coordinator of Articulation and Monitoring of Technological Policy at the Superintendence of the Manaus Free Trade Zone (SUFRAMA), Marcos Bregantin, senior manager of new business development at Flex Brasil; Paulo Melo, senior new business manager at Sidia, a Research and Development institute based in Manaus; Andre´ Nunes, COO & Director of Beta-i Brasi Programs; Fredson Encarnação, CEO of the accelerator FabriQ; as well as executives from Fox Manager, Hidreo and eMercado startups.

In the program, we highlight the free meeting “Conexão Amazônia”, to be held virtually next Wednesday, 09/16, starting at 10 am (Brasília time). Among the confirmed speakers are Geraldo Feitoza, CEO of the Technological Development Institute of Manaus (INDT); Camila Borges, Training Manager at Huawei in Brazil; Celso de Azevedo co-founder of I2A2 (Institute of Applied Artificial Intelligence) and Vera Cabral head of education at Microsoft Brazil.

In the opportunity, Huawei will announce the details of its free professional training program. “We know that this is fundamental everywhere and, especially, in regions like the Amazon. Technology, innovation and professional training of the population are essential to provide a better life for people and preserve nature ”, points out Camila Borges, training manager at Huawei in Brazil.

On September 30, as part of the schedule, Conexão Negócios will be held, a matchmaking activity between Softex Amazônia's portfolio, digital projects and startups of major investors.

“This event is another important step to contribute to the economic development of the Amazon and to the generation of a new technological pole capable of offering innovative products and services”, concludes Ana Pires.

* PPEI is an initiative of the Committee for Research and Development Activities in the Amazon, inserted in the R&D area of the Manaus Free Trade Zone Superintendence (SUFRAMA), linked to the Ministry of Economy.
