European Agency for Disease Control is among the organizations that use solutions to define pandemic prevention strategies

With the rapid advancement of the new coronavirus, the entire world has been looking for ways to slow down the transmission of the disease and prevent the collapse of healthcare systems. To help in this fight, users have been using the Qlik community, a leader in data analytics solutions, to develop several applications to monitor Covid-19's advancements. Data is collected from public and official sources, which also help to detect which areas are most at risk.

In addition, Qlik has noticed a greater use of solutions so that companies are able to organize initiatives and reduce the impacts of the crisis caused by the pandemic. "There has been an increase in the use of Qlik solutions by our customers, who are using internal data and official information to define the best strategy for the moment. An example of use is being made by the European Agency for Disease Control and Prevention ( ECDC – European Center for Disease Prevention and Control), daily mapping the contagion areas and compiling data from different sources to graphically inform the evolution of the outbreak", comments Cesar Ripari, Latin America pre-sales director at Qlik.

Ripari also highlights the logistics segment, which uses Qlik tools to organize the increase or decrease in consumption of certain products and define the best supply format. "Qlik's associative model allows the company to cross data from different sources in a very simple and intuitive way," he says.
