Registration for the tournament held by Qualcomm runs until April 18
 
The QPrize, a project competition for technology startups, reaches its fourth edition and will distribute US$ 1 million (R$ 2.4 million) in prizes to competitors from Latin America, China, India, Europe, South Korea, Israel and America From north. Registration is open until April 18th and can be done on the website www.qprize.com
 
Created by the investment area of the technology company Qualcomm, the award has existed since 2010 and has already distributed US$ 2.3 million (R$ 5.2 million) to startups from different parts of the world, four of which are Brazilian. Among the projects, the QPrize seeks to invest in gadgets, programs, health or finance companies. "The QPrize competition allows us to discover very early stage companies in key regions around the world and fund the next generation of innovators," said Nagraj Kashyap, senior vice president of Qualcomm Ventures.
 
Companies worth less than US$ 2 million, with a consumer product and that have a differential in the smartphone and tablet market, can participate. Finalists receive US$ 100k (R$ 240k) and winners receive US$ 150k (R$ 360k). The QPrize final will be held in San Francisco (USA), in an exclusive event with Bloomberg, and will feature 8 finalists, with each region represented by a finalist.
