Brazilian startups can now sign up for the 2nd season of French Tech Ticket, an open global competition for talented entrepreneurs with startups in the creation or growth phase and to compete for €45,000 in funding. After an extremely successful 1st season, with 23 teams of startups from 23 countries present in Paris, the 2nd season of the competition is more ambitious: there will be 70 winning teams from all over the world, hosted by more than 40 highly renowned incubators across the world. All French Tech Ticket Season 2 details and how to apply are available on the website. www.frenchtechticket.com. Applications are open until August 24, 2016 and the competition is open to entrepreneurs from all over the world.
 
Winning teams will earn €45,000 in funding for each of the 70 startup teams, acceleration of the procedure to obtain a residency permit in France, welcome pack to facilitate the move to France, startup hosting by one of the 40 incubators French classes for 12 months, a bespoke program of classes, networking events and mentoring sessions to accelerate the growth of startups.
 
France has been encouraging a strong startup policy for some years now and is already the main host country for the most innovative companies in the world. French Tech, a startup ecosystem created 3 years ago by the French government, provides the ideal conditions for startups with a clear objective: to increase their growth and help them become global champions.
 
Today, this innovation ecosystem is expanding, with a record number of startups, doubling the amount of capital raised between 2014 and 2015, with countless companies receiving over US$ 100 million in funding and exciting initial public offerings for companies like Sigfox, Criteo, BlaBlaCar, DBV Technologies and Cellectis pointing the way.
 
The French government has supported entrepreneurs and investors with 40 new measures since 2012 and as said by John Chambers, CEO of Cisco: “The government of France truly understands the economic and social benefits that digitalization will bring”. Over the past few years, American tech giants such as Google, Intel, Cisco and Facebook, among others, have chosen France to develop their future technologies.
