In view of the various transformations in the business world and in the customer service model, companies from all segments are being forced to seek solutions that allow them to accelerate innovation and efficiency in their businesses. In some companies, this new speed required for product development has already surpassed the capacity of their operations.

Brazilian companies are facing a new environment whose greatest challenge is the need to adopt a more agile, collaborative and sustainable delivery channel – in all possible aspects and formats. In a world that demands speed and consistent advances, the ability to collaborate is, without a doubt, essential for building more assertive projects.

In this scenario, a key enabler to generate this truly broader sustainability is the culture of reuse – not only in terms of the ability to reuse materials and elements, but also with the implementation of an infrastructure ready to catalog, locate and manage content and data.

This means adopting content management processes, defining one or several data classification hierarchies to organize information and thus address the changing needs of the post-pandemic business. Studies indicate that the effective management of content about the production process and the reuse of materials can reduce the time needed to launch a product by up to 70%. new product1 (known as go-to-market).

Therefore, companies immediately gain in agility to develop their initiatives. By having libraries and models for sharing, companies open up the opportunity to promote learning among different teams and areas. Classification hierarchies can be adapted into an active system without the need to change the underlying database schema. This gives managers and experts the option of managing their surveys on their own, rather than having to go through a costly modification of the entire product lifecycle management (PLM) system.

Through a content management platform designed to integrate this knowledge, therefore, it is possible to speed up the path with which users can find the assets they need and, in this way, scale their discoveries. On the other hand, it is always worth noting that this environment also ensures the possibility of defining criteria such as the right to use data, as well as controlling who, when and where a given information package can be used to build a new project or even even of a product.

The lack of an efficient system for reusing product content will ultimately diminish any potential savings that the company can achieve in the long run. For several reasons, losing the knowledge generated in the development of a product or process is a loss that no organization will ever be able to afford.

Therefore, I understand that the correct approach to content reuse generates agility in the manufacturing and innovation process, with challenging tasks for companies. It is possible to address efficiency gaps, maximize the use of resources and connect all interested actors in a large ecosystem of continuous improvement. All companies need to close the loop is an integrated, collaborative digital platform that drives sustainability. Brazil will gain a lot from these advances.
