In view of the objectives of identifying best practices, fostering innovation and guiding companies interested in migrating their solutions to the SaaS sales format – Software as a Service (Software as a Service), the ABES committee met on June 23 to proceed with plans to carry out a survey on the subject, which should be launched by the beginning of August.

The Committee's coordinator, Lauro de Lauro, Dualtec's CEO, explains that associated and non-associated companies of the entity may participate in the research. “We want to carry out an analysis on the stage of this new business model in the software sector in Brazil, in order to know the current stage of SaaS in the national market. The meeting was productive, as we already have a preview of the questionnaire, which we will validate in the coming days”, he highlighted. Contract models for the provision of services in the SaaS modality was another topic of the meeting. A major goal of the committee, with the progress of work and studies, is the creation of a Brazilian certification that demonstrates the maturity of software companies in the face of SaaS, which translates the maturity and excellence of services.

Carlos Sacco, marketing director at ABES, emphasizes that the committee is open to the participation of more member companies. The group already has the presence of Alexandre Soncini and Rafael Forte, from Vtex; Boris Kuszka and Fernanda Escobar, from RedHat; Francisco Camargo, from CLM; Onivaldo Roncatti and Leonardo Noshi, from Business Station; Luigi Botto, from ArgoIT; Fabiana Tocci and Luiz Carlos Zavata, from TechTrends; in addition to its coordinator, Lauro de Lauro, from Dualtec
