Ecosystem Innovation Technology Center was designed for customers and partners interested in enriching ecosystem with the use of 5G, cloud and artificial intelligence with an eye on the new evolution of digital transformation

Huawei has just inaugurated the Ecosystem Innovation Technology Center (EITC), first Innovation Center for experimenting with 5G and Artificial Intelligence in São Paulo. Located at the company's headquarters in São Paulo, the center was designed to offer an environment of innovation and integration for the entire ecosystem, which involves not only operators, but also other partners in the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) industry. The company invested R$ 35 million.

“The new high-capacity innovation center is designed for our customers and partners develop solutions based on the fifth generation of mobile technology for different sectors of the Brazilian economy”, explains Sun Baocheng, CEO of Huawei in Brazil.

At the EITC, it will be possible to move between the “Huawei Legacy” space (“Huawei Legacy”), which portrays the history of the company's partnership with Brazil over the last 23 years; the “ICT Foundation” (“ICT Foundation”), which highlights the pillars of the new digital transformation, such as 5G technology, cloud computing and artificial intelligence; the “Industry Vertical” (“Vertical Industry”), which will present real applications for several sectors, such as Agriculture, Mining, Logistics and Media, which portray the advance of ICT; and “Telco Top Gear”, with a portfolio of end-to-end solutions for 5G, fiber optics, microwaves and other products.

The Innovation Center will be open to anyone interested in jointly developing new applications and proof of concept under real conditions of an end-to-end 5G network. In it, Huawei partners will be able to prepare for future challenges through advanced technology solutions with the integrated use of 5G, Cloud Computing and Artificial Intelligence, which will allow them to visualize in real time the impact of adopting new applications and services on their business . The innovation center will also enable the simulation of procedures for preparing the ICT solution, thus accelerating the main steps for creating new processes.

The EITC will also show how a 5G network is formed and its possibilities, such as high bandwidth, low latency and mass connectivity. The fifth generation of mobile technology and the Internet of Things enable entirely new experiences, automated processes and new business models. Contributing to the implementation of more efficient strategies not only reduces costs, but also improves the bottom line of the entire ecosystem.

“Huawei has been a partner of Brazil for 23 years and wants to continue driving innovation in the country. We are making our 5G, Cloud and Artificial Intelligence infrastructure available at the Ecosystem Innovation Technology Center to anyone who wants to invest in new solutions for the Brazilian economy, in order to accelerate the creation of an ecosystem of applications based on 5G mobile technology”, highlights the CEO . “We want to become the driver of digital development and the main partner for customers in the digital transformation, fundamental for the success of future businesses. Based on our main focus on ICT infrastructure, Huawei wants to build an open, collaborative and beneficial ecosystem for all involved”, he adds.

In the same space, the company inaugurates the T-Center (Trustworthy Center), an open cybersecurity center, where customers and partners, including the government, will be able to learn about the company's end-to-end governance process, the most advanced techniques in cybersecurity of products throughout their entire lifecycle, as well as relevant application scenarios such as cybersecurity of the 5G network, cloud computing systems, smart devices, connected cars, etc.

“Cybersecurity and data protection are fundamental in the digital world, and top priorities for Huawei, which invested more than US$ 1 billion in this segment in 2020 alone. Our T-Center brings the most advanced techniques and processes in cybersecurity and data protection, making them available to customers and partners and facilitating communication, exchange of experiences, joint innovation and formation of local ecosystems”, emphasizes Marcelo Motta, CSO of Huawei Brazil and Latin America.

To highlight the inauguration of the EICT and the importance of a platform to improve the ecosystem to drive the generation of new opportunities and digital transformation, Huawei holds for the first time in Brazil the Ecosystem Summit this Wednesday, 28th, with a series of lectures on the theme at the Tangará Palace, in São Paulo.
