Citrosuco, one of the largest orange juice producers in the world, had the help of
Brasoftware to optimize the functions of its Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) department, the sector responsible for inspecting all 4 company plants and establishing preventive actions to neutralize possible accidents that threaten the health and safety of its employees, or the environment.
In order to perform such activity, it was necessary for the department to travel through all areas of the company's operations, to fill out forms to collect data manually. "We conducted a study to see what functions could be improved with the adoption of a solution like Office 365. Having identified these processes, we mapped the actions and presented the technologies that could optimize time, automating process and communication, generating much more detailed data and with more agility ", comments Eduardo Sukarie, Commercial Director at Brasoftware, developer of the project.
Murilo Mestriner, Information Technology analyst at Citrosuco, pointed out that before the change, in addition to the process being slower, there was the difficulty of the area in collecting the information, centralizing it and then consolidating it in its monthly reports to the board, because it was necessary that the files were scanned manually. "In this scenario, the use of Kaizala and Power BI proved to be the best solution since one of the features was the creation and publication of dynamic forms. In addition, the application is primarily focused on people who are always on the move, that is, the user has a work tool on his smartphone, being able to export the collected data to his machine ", he declared.
Mestriner also reveals that, with the adoption of the technology, more than 250 users of the SMMA inspection group were benefited and inserted in the main action of the area. "Previously, only 50 employees from across the HSE nucleus were able to travel to collect this data, however, after the implementation of Kaizala, more employees in the nucleus were able to join the function." "The engagement of our users increased 55% after the adoption plan developed by Brasoftware. In five months, we had 3703 completed forms. A number that highlights how much the capacity of the HSE team has grown."
After implementing the tool, the technology provider also promoted, for three months, training divided into five classes of 50 people for Citrosuco employees, with the aim of training them and encouraging them to develop internal solutions. On one of the training days, the juice producer also counted on Brasoftware's support for the IT Experience, an event where its more than 500 employees had the opportunity to have contact with the tools available in Office 365. "We became aware the need of Citrosuco that, in addition to the application, needed people who could execute it. Thus, we seek to give employees autonomy so that the use of applications, as well as the development of new resources, is done in a very simple way, proprietary to with the agility that an operation like Citrosuco needs ", concluded Sukarie.
