Interested parties can apply for projects until December 14

The National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and the Brazilian Support Service for Micro and Small Enterprises (Sebrae) have extended registration for the National Innovation Award – 2018/2019 Edition. Companies of all sizes can apply with innovative projects, products and processes on the Award website until December 14, 2018.

The winners will be announced on June 10, 2019. The award includes participation in international immersion in innovation ecosystems and up to R$ 150,000 per category pre-approved in public notices to foster innovation, such as the Innovation Notice for Industry. The last edition had a record number of entries: 3,987 companies.

In this edition, there are novelties in the regulation, with three modalities: small businesses, medium and large companies. The award will be given in the Innovation Management and Innovation categories, which has four subcategories: product, process, organizational and marketing. Another novelty of this edition will be the recognition of innovative practices in health and safety at work.

It is not necessary to submit a specific innovation project for each category. With the new methodology, the company applies only once and is evaluated as a whole, being able to be selected in more than one category or subcategory. However, the innovations developed must have taken place within the last two years at most and be implemented at the time of registration.

The National Innovation Award is aimed at industry, with the exception of small businesses, which may be in the industrial, commercial, service or agribusiness sectors.
